Delando has been successful with transitioning a number of school leavers with disabilities into the workforce in the past few years, current have 5 employees, including Andrew (pictured), who was able to use his NDIS package & be employed by Delando into his first job with our University Maintenance Team.
We also have a number of employees who are currently doing their Certificate II in Horticulture & Certificate II in Retail. Employees have support each week at Delando with a qualified adult educator assisting each employee with their learning units.
Without Delando, our training partners, and the NDIS, these people would not have the opportunity to participate in the workforce and gain all the benefits of being active in working and learning. We have been able to increase the scope of the assistance we provide and provide more opportunities for the disabled people of the Hunter.
