What a fantastic week for People with a Disability, and for the region of Newcastle. The Special Olympics 2013 Asia Pacific Games was held here and Delando were proud to have two of our team represent Australia in the pool.
Our pride was on show right from Opening Night when Geoff Kirby lit the flame!
Geoff then went on to win gold 100 meters freestyle gold 100m backstroke gold medley relay and bronze 200m freestyle. Geoff is pictured here with his mother Moira who is also a Delando Director. Well done Geoff and support crew!
Not to be outdone, Tristan Finnan won a bronze medal in the 400m freestyle. Fantastic effort.
