DisabilityCare Australia, the national disability insurance scheme, is now open for business!

People with disability, their families and carers in four launch sites across the country will start moving into DisabilityCare from now and Newcastle was lucky enough to host the launch with the Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and our Minister Jenny Macklin.

More than 26,000 people with disability, their families and carers will benefit from the first stage of DisabilityCare Australia, which will be gradually implemented over the next few years to make sure people can transition into the scheme smoothly.
